Welcome to Summer Learning 2025!

Summer Learning is a self-directed and self-paced program for kids & teens ages birth to 17. 

 

 

Programs & Events!

The library will have fun activities all summer long!

Summer Storytime Outside Mondays & Fridays in July 10:30 AM. No Storytime 7/4
Chalk the Walk Color our World Thurs. 7/3, Sat. 7/12 Sat. 7/26 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Help us decorate the sidewalk in front of the library with kind words & images!
Lego Club July 2nd & 18th @ 3:30 PM Ages 4+
Inspired by Art July 8, July 15, July 22 11 AM Ages 4-12. Learn about an artist & make a piece of art inspired by them. Space limited: free tickets available starting at 10:30 AM in the lobby, the day of the event
Children's Yoga Outside Wednesdays July 9, 16, 23. Aug. 13, 20, 27. In community Room during poor weather.11 AM Ages 2-6, 11:30 AM Ages 7-12. **Registration required for each Class: Limited Spots. Mlanjeni Magical Theater Thurs. July 10 11 AM Expect unusual fun as Mlanjeni Magical Theater offers a form of east African theater which we call "Muungamano". It is one of Africa's interdisciplinary art-forms utilizing acting along with puppets, magical illusions, folk music & dance in traditional storytelling
Safari Party July 11 1 PM. See live animals at the Library. Free Tickets will be available in the lobby starting at 12:30 PM on the day of the event.
Solar Astronomy with Timmy Telescope 7/12 & 7/26 11 AM - 1 PM Bring the whole family to use special telescopes that let you look at the sun. (weather permitting)
PAWS for Reading July 12th at 10:30 AM * Registration Required*
Outside concert with Lolly July 17 & 31 at 11 AM. (weather permitting, alternative location is Community Room)
Family Movie Wednesday July 17 1 PM. Join us as a family to watch a movie. Movies will be family friendly cartoons. Free, no registration required.
STEM lab Sat. July 19 2:30 PM - 4 PM Stop in the community Room at any time to do STEM activities & play with STEM toys!
Summer Science at the library. July 24th: build a cosmic claw, July 29th: Explore Habitats* *Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather as activities will be held outside 11 AM - 12 PM Youth ages 8 and up. Michelle's Art Pad Wed. July 30 1 PM (Grades 4-6) 2 PM (Grades K-3) Registration required
Bollywood Dance Assembly. Bring the whole family to learn some Bollywood Dance Moves! Thursday July 31st at 3:30 PM. Presented by the Community Bollywood Dance Project
Block Party Wednesdays at 10:30 AM in the children's room. Ages 2+ an hour of free play to build with our wooden blocks and other toys!
